How it works in Billify

  • Create the invoice as usual: your client, lines, VAT if you charge it.
  • Open it and choose the format your client or country needs.
  • Billify checks it against the official validation rules and tells you exactly what is missing, such as a client address or tax ID.
  • Download the file (XML, or a Factur-X PDF) and send it, or upload it where your country asks.
  • Your client pays by bank transfer, in stablecoins to your wallet or by card through your own payment link, and Billify matches the payment to the invoice.

Questions

What is an e-invoice?

An invoice in a structured format (XML, following the European standard EN 16931) that software can read without retyping, instead of a PDF or paper. Several EU countries already require it between businesses, and the EU will require it for cross-border B2B sales from July 2030.

Which e-invoice formats does Billify make?

Peppol BIS 3.0, XRechnung 3.0, Factur-X/ZUGFeRD, PINT AE, PINT SG and RO e-Factura, all made from the same invoice and checked against the official validation rules before you download them.

Does Billify send e-invoices over the Peppol network?

Not yet. Billify makes the validated file; sending it through a Peppol access point is being prepared. Today you download the file and send it, or upload it where your country asks (for example ANAF SPV in Romania).

Can I make an e-invoice if I am not VAT registered?

Yes. Billify marks the invoice as outside the scope of VAT (category O). Your country may still require some tax ID for the e-invoice; your accountant has the final word.

Is it free?

The Free plan includes 3 invoices a month, with their e-invoice files. Pro has unlimited invoices.
