What is a SEPA QR code?
A QR code in the European Payments Council format (also called EPC QR code or GiroCode). Many banking apps in the euro area scan it and fill in the beneficiary, IBAN, amount and reference of a transfer.
Which currency does it work with?
Euro only, for SEPA credit transfers. The amount can be left empty so the payer types it.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. The QR code is made in your browser; nothing you type leaves this page.
Structured reference or free text?
An RF creditor reference (it starts with RF) is structured: the payer's bank sends it back with the payment, so it can be matched to the invoice. Otherwise you can put a short text such as the invoice number.
